Vajacki marš (German soldiers march , alternative title Come, let's walk in closed ranks ) was the national anthem of the short-lived Belarusian People's Republic (BNR), which existed from 1917 to 1920, and whose government is still officially in exile. The text of the hymn was written by Makar Kaścevič on October 30, 1919 under the pseudonym Makar Kraŭcoŭ (Макар Краўцоў), the music of the hymn was composed by Uladzimier Teraŭski (Уладзімер Тэраўскі). The song served, among other things, as a hymn during the Slutsk uprising against the Bolsheviks in autumn 1920 and is therefore also known as the "March of the Slutsk Brigades".
