Valerie Bures-Boenström
Valerie Christine Bures-Bönström (born June 14, 1979 in Berlin ) is a German entrepreneur and computer scientist. She is co-founder of the fitness chain franchise company "Mrs.Sporty" and CEO and founder of Pixformance Sports GmbH.
Life
Bures-Bönström studied computer science at the Free University of Berlin until 2002 . She completed her studies with a thesis on the subject of "Storing RDF as a graph". In 2009 she completed a complementary degree at the London Business School as part of the London Executive MBA program in Dubai with the Executive MBA.
Since 2003, Bures-Bönström has been best known as the co-founder and partner of the fitness studio chain Mrs.Sporty.
In order to perfect the Mrs.Sporty training concept, she developed the so-called Pixformance station, based on software for functional training. In 2012, Bures-Bönström founded Pixformance Sports GmbH, which specializes in providing system solutions in the field of software-supported sports equipment in the fitness and health industry. In the meantime (as of 2018) Pixformance has opened more than 200,000 trainers in eleven countries as well as several branches in Germany, Japan, the USA and the Netherlands.
