Valiant (tank)

Valiant Infantry Tank

The Valiant was a British main battle tank from World War II . It was based on the Valentine , which it looked quite similar, but was much more armored, had a much improved drive and was about ten tons heavier. The relatively good ballistic shape of the front armor (which is somewhat reminiscent of that of the later Soviet IS-3 ) and the turret, which was also improved compared to the earlier British tanks , were striking . The Valiant was designed to be the first real British battle tank. Only two prototypes were built, but there was no war effort. A Valiant has survived to this day, it is in the Tank Museum in Bovington Camp in England .
