history

Business figures 2002 to 2015

Valora Effekten has been offering securities trading services since it was founded in 1988. VEH achieved its greatest successes at the time of the new economy boom around the year 2000, when speculation with so-called “pre-market” shares , i.e. possible candidates for an IPO , took on unprecedented proportions. During this time VEH achieved annual sales and profits in the lower double-digit million range for a short time. Several years of loss followed.

Since June 1, 2012, trading in units in closed-end funds has been subject to the German Banking Act (KWG). This legal change was a signal for an existing reorganization of the market. Since VEH AG already had all the necessary approvals under the German Banking Act, the new trading division "Second Fund Market" was opened at short notice.

As a further offer of the company, the so-called “Ökoportal” was opened, a website for the presentation of ecologically oriented companies that could be considered as trading partners for the “Eco share” category.

criticism

In the area of financial markets that are not regulated and monitored by law, there are often stock corporations whose seriousness is questioned and which make negative headlines. Companies like VEH, which trade and market the shares of such sometimes questionable issuers , are also exposed to corresponding criticism.
