Van Iddekinge
The Van Iddekinge is a Dutch family.
history
The progenitor of the family is Luytjen Iddekinge , who was registered at Roode Lam in Groningen between 1610 and 1618 . His descendants were the city administrators of this city and appointed numerous mayors there in the course of the 17th and 18th centuries; one of them was Antony Adriaan van Iddekinge . Two family members were introduced to the Dutch nobility in 1816 and 1817 with the Jonkheer title . The Boer family Van Iddekinge also belongs to this family . This branch came from Pieter Antoon Adriaan van Iddekinge (1819–1902), a biological son of Pieter Rembt Anthoni van Iddekinge (1753–1831) and Auke Karsyns Kamp (1785–1859).
Furthermore, there was a branch Van Iddekinge Hofkamp (ended in 1963 with the death of the last descendant), starting from Jan Albert van Iddekinge Hofkamp (1854-1918), who continued the name of his mother Johanna Hendrika Louisa Hofkamp-van Iddekinge as the main name.
The family branch Hooft van Iddekinge came from Joan Henrik Hooft van Iddekinge (1800-1881), who put the name Hooft of his grandmother Hester Graafland-Hooft in front of his. Some of his descendants bear the name Hoofd , which they took over from Hermanus Jacobus Hooft van Iddekinge (1860-1902), who wrote Hoofd himself .
