Van Jones

Van Jones (born September 20, 1968 ) is an American political commentator, author, and non-practicing lawyer.

Jones was from March 2009 environmental policy advisor to US President Barack Obama . Because of his political past he received severe criticism from conservative sources. For example, he had worked with a founder of the Weathermen terrorist organization. and had contacts with a Marxist organization. He was also allegedly a signatory of the 9/11 Truth Movement petition, which, however, could not be proven. In September 2009 he resigned as adviser to the President. Jones is currently the head of his self-founded organization, Rebuild the Dream, and a writer on CNN . At the station he moderates The Van Jones Show , in which he interviews guests from culture and politics.

He is the godfather of Damaris Lewis .
