Damaris Lewis (born October 10, 1990 in Brooklin , New York City ) is an American actress and model . She was featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues of 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Life
Lewis grew up in Brooklyn. Her parents are West Indians from St. Kitts . She learned to dance at LaGuardia High School in New York.
Her modeling career began after she performed as a dancer at Chelsea Piers and was approached by agents from Elite Model Management . After high school, she signed a contract with the agency. She is also under contract with Muse Model Management. She is Van Jones' goddaughter .
