Vara level

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The so-called Vara plain in the municipality of Vara is an agriculturally intensively used flat land in Sweden . This unusually flat clay plain is drained by the Lidan river and its tributaries, which have usually cut mountain gorges down to the solid ground in the clay sediment.

These otherwise sparsely sown mountain gorges and isolated gravel hills are the only topographical breaks in the flat clay surface.
