Variations for piano (Webern)

The Variations for Piano , op. 27, by the Austrian composer Anton Webern are a three-movement work for piano solo. They were completed in 1936 and are dedicated to the pianist Eduard Steuermann . The first performance took place on October 26, 1937 with Peter Stadlen . The variations are an example of Webern's late twelve-tone technique , which gave serial music decisive impulses.
