The Varner-Gruppen AS is the largest Norwegian textile merchants.

Group

In Norway, the group operates around 500 retail stores, including chains such as Bik Bok, Carlings, Volt, Cubus, Dressmann, Solo, Urban, Vivikes, Wearhouse, Levi's Store and WOW. After expanding into neighboring Scandinavian countries, the Baltic states, Germany, Austria and Poland, the group has a total of more than 1000 stores.

history

The Varner groups were founded in 1962 by Frank Varner . After 5 years he established the Dressman brand, and in 1985 he started trading in women's fashion with the Carlings chain. As a result, the chains Cubus (1989), Bik Bok (1991) and Vivikes (1994) were acquired. In the 2000s, the Varner groups only had around 80 stores.
