Varol Vekiloğlu (born August 1, 1983 in Berlin ) is a former German-Turkish professional boxer .

Career

Vekiloğlu started kickboxing when he was 18 . He successfully participated in numerous tournaments and championships. The German and North German runner-up championships are among his greatest successes in his short kick-boxing career.

In the course of his kickboxing career, Vekiloğlu's boxing ability crystallized, which is why he switched to boxing. At the age of 23 he played his first professional boxing match on September 24, 2006, which he won by knockout in the second round.

On February 7, 2010 Vekiloglu switched from cruiser weight (limit up to 90.718 kg) to the next lighter light heavyweight (limit up to 79.378 kg) and won his first fight in this weight class by TKO in the 3rd round.

On April 18, 2010, Vekiloglu boxed for the German light heavyweight championship and won on points.

On April 1, 2011 Vekiloglu boxed for the European Championship according to the IBF version and won by giving up his opponent in the 7th round.

On October 14, 2011 Vekiloglu boxed for the Intercontinental Championship according to the IBF version of the heavyweight division and lost by knockout in the first round.
