Vasenthien is a district of the municipality of Trebel in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony . The village is located west of the core area of Trebel between the Elbe flowing north and the B 493 .

On July 1, 1972, Vasenthien was incorporated into the municipality of Trebel.
