Vasospasm

The vasospasm ( Latin vas 'vessel' and old Greek σπασμός spasmós 'spasm'), also vascular spasm or angiospasm ( Greek ἀγγεῖον angeīon , German 'vessel' and spasm ) is a sudden spasmodic narrowing of a blood vessel due to a stimulus. This can lead to ischemia (insufficient blood flow) in the tissue following the arterial vessel .
