The Vattarfjörður ( Icelandic Glove Fjord) is a fjord in the West Fjords of Iceland .
The fjord forms the wide heel of the boot-shaped Skálmarfjörður , is up to 2 km wide and extends 2.5 km into the country. It is completely circled by Vestfjarðavegur
, which is now completely paved. Inside in Vattarfjörður there is still the old bridge from 1982 at Þingmannatjörn.
