VdS fire protection days
The VdS BrandSchutzTage in Cologne is a combination of a trade fair , specialist conferences taking place at the same time, an exhibitor and science forum and the “Fire Protection Future Forum”. Their range of topics covers all areas of preventive fire protection: structural, organizational and technical. They have been taking place every December at Koelnmesse since 2012 .
Emergence
The VdS BrandSchutzTage came into being in 2012 when the three VdS conferences “Fire alarm systems”, “Fire protection in existing buildings” and “Fire extinguishing systems” were merged and supplemented by a trade fair.

organizer
The organizer of the VdS BrandSchutzTage is the “Education Center and Publishing” division of VdS Schadenverhütung in Cologne. In addition to organizing the trade fair, it offers around 25 specialist conferences and 90 courses a year, including topics such as fire protection, security, electrical systems and occupational safety. In addition, the VdS-owned publishing house issues a set of guidelines with approx. 600 titles as well as other publications with a focus on fire and burglary protection.
