The Vectrix VX-2 is an electric scooter the Vectrix Corporation which in China from Nanjing Vmoto Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was made.

General

The scooter has a lockable storage space under the seat, in which the charger and on-board tools can be carried. A luggage rack with a top case can optionally be installed. Due to its specification, it can be driven in Germany in the 45 km / h version with a class M driving license (moped) or with a class B driving license. The unthrottled version up to 75 km / h requires a class A or A1 driving license (also class 3 before April 1, 1980) and counts as a light motorcycle. The Vectrix VX-2 is not a completely new development, but is technically based on the E-Maxx 110s. However, it differs both in the cladding and in the engine electronics.

Technical

The scooter has a brushless permanent magnet DC motor with an integrated planetary gear in the rear wheel, which is controlled by a Sevcon controller and enables regenerative braking , i.e. the feeding of braking energy back into the traction battery . The suspension strut of the single-sided swing arm is adjustable and can thus be adapted to different loads. There are hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear, which are hardly needed during normal driving due to the very easy-to-dose recuperation. For recuperation and maneuvering, the twistgrip can be operated in the opposite direction. In this way, reverse gear is also implemented at low speed from a standing start. The Vectrix control unit and the motor controller communicate via CAN bus .

Designs and variants

The scooter is offered either with a traction battery made from lead accumulators or with lithium accumulators . These are each available with different capacities and ranges:

  • Lead accumulators, 4 pieces 12 V / 60 Ah, 2.88  kWh , 96kg range 50km
  • Lead accumulators 4 pieces 12 V / 75 Ah, 3.60 kWh, 98kg range 60km
  • Lithium batteries 2.0 kWh, range 50km
  • Lithium accumulators 3.0 kWh, range 90km
Electric scooter Vectrix VX-2, originally supplied charger for lead-acid batteries 230V AC, 48V DC / 20A

While the lead batteries are built into the battery trough, the lithium batteries can also be removed as portable boxes. The operating voltage of the traction battery is approx. 50 volts. The battery charger supplied can be operated with both 110 and 230 volt AC connections. The charging time for a full charge of the 2.88 kWh battery is around two hours. The limitation is the charger with 960 W. A Schuko socket can deliver 3,600 W.
