Velatia (until 2012 Grupo Ormazabal ) is a Spanish industrial holding company that is one of the largest manufacturers of electrical systems in Europe. The group has 15 production facilities and employs almost 3,000 people.
In addition to the medium voltage business area , in which the entire electrical business of the group is concentrated, telecommunications, information systems and physical security systems are among the central business areas of Velatia.

history
Velatia was founded in Bedia in 1967 by Javier Ormazabal Ocerin, the father of the current president .
In 2004 the German company Felten & Guilleaume was taken over.
