The Bartibás used in the attack belonged to the squad of the Montevideo- based club Central in at least 1927 . In that year his club rose for the first time in the club's history as table-16. the Primera División from Uruguay's top division.
National team
Bartibás was also a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He took part with the national team at the South American Championship in 1927 (no use). Uruguay finished second behind the Argentine selection. At the 1928 Summer Olympics Bartibás celebrated with the squad of Celeste finally his greatest career success. The team was, however, also without his direct involvement in a game, Olympic champion.
