The Marsala train station ( Italian Stazione di Marsala ) is the city train station, also the westernmost train station in Sicily and is operated by the Italian state railway company Rete Ferroviaria Italiana . It is located on the Palermo – Trapani railway at km 158.6. The train station is on the south-eastern edge of downtown Marsala ; the postal address is Via Amerigo Fazio . In addition to a ticket office and a ticket machine, there is a kiosk and public toilets. The trains depart between 6:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The unadorned concrete construction of the reception building dates from the 1950s and faces the center of the city.

From the beginning until the 1960s, the station was primarily an important transshipment point for agricultural products from the region, especially the Marsala wine produced here . For this purpose, several butt tracks were laid south of the reception building with correspondingly large gaps so that the unwieldy barrels could be loaded without a loading ramp. In addition, a large, covered loading ramp was built directly on the tracks. This large depot, the building of which is also located between the track and the port, still exists, but - similar to that of Trapani train station - is mainly used as a parking lot.

The wine was loaded in barrels and transported across Sicily by rail, including to Trapani , 30 kilometers away , where, due to the larger and more important port, larger ships could dock. He was also a duty-free port. In addition, there are still the usual goods sheds that were built at every station building in the early years. Only the water tower is located on the opposite, north-eastern, side of the route.
