The Association of Bavarian Local Broadcasting (VBL) is an association of local and regional broadcasters and studio operating companies in Bavaria .

history

The association was founded in 1984 and is the oldest and, with 55 members (as of March 2019), the lobby group of local broadcasters with the largest number of members. He is committed to the promotion of private broadcasting in Bavaria and represents the interests of the members. It publishes statements on the revision of legal texts and draft statutes of the Bavarian State Center for New Media (BLM).

Areas of responsibility

  • Advice in the areas of media policy , social policy, technology and economics
  • Negotiations with the copyright societies ( GEMA , GVL )
  • public relation
  • Representation of the interests of the association externally at state, federal and international level
  • Co-organization of the annual BLM local broadcast days in Nuremberg
