The Association of Berlin Athletics Associations (VBAV) was a local sports association in the former capital of Berlin . The VBAV was founded on November 4th, 1904. Football was only included in the program for the 1906/07 season in order to give (light) athletic clubs an opportunity to play during the winter months.

Five clubs with six teams submitted their reports for the first season. The schedule was published, but no results were reported in the contemporary sports press. In the following 1907/08 season, seven clubs with eight teams took part in the single-round championship. SC Teutonia won the title in 1899. In the 1908/09 season, six clubs took part in the 1st class league games, from which one club withdrew in February 1909.

In the 1909/10 season the game was organized in four divisions, a total of 15 clubs took part in the point games. In the second half of the season another six clubs were added, so that a fifth division had to be formed. Furthermore, an association cup was also held.

In the last 1910/11 season of the Association of Berlin Athletic Clubs, its champions had the first chance to qualify for the final round of the German championship. However, the Berliner SC 1895/96 lost to the champions of the Märkischer Fußball-Bund FC Tasmania 1900 Rixdorf with 2-4 in the playoff for participation.

At the request of the Association of Berliner Ballspielvereine (VBB), the German Football Association decided in spring 1911 to recognize only one Berlin football association from Whitsun of the year. On April 29, 1911, the VBB, the Märkische Fußball-Bund and the Verband Berliner Athletik-Vereine merged to form the Association of Brandenburgischer Ballspielvereine (also VBB). Only the VBAV master Berliner SC 1895/96 was included in the new top division consisting of two seasons.
