Association of the Swiss Watch Industry FH

The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH ( F édération de l'industrie h orlogère suisse) is an umbrella organization of the Swiss watch industry founded in 1982 with headquarters in Biel / Bienne .

The private-law and not-for-profit association has over 500 members, around 90 percent of all Swiss watch and watch component manufacturers.

aims

According to our own presentation, the goals are:

  • to contribute to the development of the Swiss watch industry;
  • create a permanent link between its members to advance their common interests;
  • to represent the Swiss watch industry at the Swiss, foreign and international authorities and business organizations;
  • to assert the interests of its members in drafting national and foreign legislation and international negotiations;
  • to defend the interests of its members through legal measures.

Representations

The association has permanent representations in Hong Kong and Tokyo .

Association presidents

The presidents are elected for three years.

  • 1983-1993: André Margot
  • 1993–2002: François Habersaat († 2010)
  • since 2002: Jean-Daniel Pasche

Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève

The association has awarded the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève since 2000 .
