The Association of Independent Asset Managers Germany e. V. (VuV) is an advocacy group for bank-independent financial portfolio managers in Germany.

history

The association was founded on December 12, 1997 by seven members in Frankfurt am Main. The cooperation partner Forum VuV e. V. was created in early 2006 to support VuV. A scientific advisory board has been advising the association since October 2010 . In October 2017, the association opened the VuV Academy, with which it responded to the new regulations of the European financial market directive MiFID II.

Members

According to its own information, over 250 independent asset managers are organized in VuV (as of November 2017). Accordingly, around every second non-group asset manager with a license from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority to carry out financial portfolio management activities in accordance with Section 32 of the German Banking Act is a member.
