The Association of Employees Architects e. V. (VAA) is a professional association based in Vreden that represents the interests of employed architects in the North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Architects and in public . The registered association has existed since 1985.

Members

Employed architects, interior designers , landscape architects and urban planners are organized in the association, i.e. all those who are not self- employed. In addition, students or university graduates and chamber members who are not currently employed in the above-mentioned subject areas can join. According to its own information, the VAA currently represents around 13,500 architects from all disciplines and urban planners who are registered as employees in the membership lists of the North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Architects.

The VAA advocates

  • sustainable protection of the profession and jobs,
  • comprehensive title protection for the legally protected professional title of architect and urban planner,
  • protection against the intrusion of foreigners into the professional field of architects and urban planners,
  • a fee schedule that helps secure and strengthen jobs,
  • for equal working conditions and remuneration for female employees,
  • the creation of family-friendly working conditions and jobs,
  • a legal regulation that employees are members of the organs of the Chamber of Architects must be released to exercise their honorary office
  • a publicly appointed expert activity in all specialist areas and the free choice to exercise this professional activity as a freelancer, part-time or as an employee,
  • unhindered participation in basic and advanced training measures for employees,
  • for a strong employee representation in the decision-making bodies of the Chamber of Architects, which reflects the membership ratio of employees to freelancers
