The Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia , abbreviation AKNW , is the organization of the professional self-administration of architects , interior designers , landscape architects and urban planners in North Rhine-Westphalia . Collective forms of professional association - with currently more than 30,000 in the list of the Chamber of registered members - as a public body , the Chamber of Architects of the country . It is based in the House of Architects in Düsseldorf .

Ernst Uhing (* 1956) has been the president, i.e. the external representative of the Chamber and head of its board, since November 9, 2013. Markus Lehrmann (* 1969) has been the general manager since April 14, 2009. The highest body of the chamber is the elected representative assembly with a total of 201 members, whose specialist work is carried out in committees.

The Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia used since 1970 in addition to the professional self-government and the advocacy and provides members with a broad service and consulting services, including education and training as well as a pension fund . She is particularly committed to building culture and architecture in North Rhine-Westphalia .
