Elena Sophie Catharina Carrière (born September 24, 1996 in Hamburg ) is a German model and actress . In 2016 she became the vice-top model of the talent show Germany's Next Top Model .

Life

Elena Carrière was born as the daughter of the actor Mathieu Carrière and the costume designer Bettina Proske. She spent the first five years of her life in her native Hamburg , after which she moved to Venice with her mother . In 2015 she returned to Hamburg.

In 2016, she took part in the 11th season of the German reality show Germany's Next Topmodel , where she came second behind Kim Hnizdo . In addition, in 2016 and 2020 she was a candidate for the quiz show Who knows something? with Kai Pflaume and together with her father on the ZDF talk show Markus Lanz . As a model, she worked with photographers such as Ellen von Unwerth , Rankin , Ben Watts, Max Montgomery and Christian Schuller. In 2018 she signed a contract with the Paris model agency Metropolitan and was nominated for the About You Awards in the Lifestyle category. In July 2019 she was seen in the VOX format 7 Daughters .

She made her film debut in 2012 in Persecuted - The Little Witness by director Andreas Senn . In 2018 she played the role of Freya in the movie Wuff - Follow the Dog by Detlev Buck , and in 2018 she played the role of Tammy in the television series Labaule & Erben . In Tal der Scorpione (2019; working title Breakdown Forest - Reise in den Abgrund ) by Patrick Roy Beckert with Ralf Richter and Martin Semmelrogge , she played the role of Traudel.
