overview

More than 2000 applicants were cast and 50 of them were selected for the opening broadcast on February 4, 2016 in Berlin. In an "Express Yourself" walk, the aspirants ran in front of the jurors Heidi Klum , Thomas Hayo and the newly arrived Michael Michalsky in a self-chosen outfit that was supposed to emphasize their personality. 30 of them were promoted to the next round and were allowed to present the new juror's evening dresses at a fashion show in front of an audience. During the subsequent catwalk in front of the jury, Hayo and Michalsky selected 24 participants for their newly created teams. As a new rule, each of the two jurors pressed a buzzer as soon as a candidate appeared who he liked for his team. If both had pressed, Klum assigned the candidate. For the second time, a finals competitor from a previous season was considered for another competition. From now on, the two jurors alongside Klum only coached their own team in order to compete with each other to bring as many protégés as possible to the final. The teams lived in different accommodations and were trained differently by the coaches. All aspirants continued to complete challenges and decisions independently.

After the two teams made stops on and in different Canary Islands and European metropolises, they traveled to Los Angeles in the third episode . Episodes 7 to 9 were filmed in Australia . For the first time, the jury sent five aspirants to the final. It took place on May 12, 2016 for the first time outside Germany in the Plaça de toros de Palma , the bullring of Palma instead. Tickets were only offered for a quarter of the seats. Kim Hnizdo , then 19, was chosen as the winner . She received a contract with the model agency ONEeins , an Opel Adam and prize money of 100,000 euros . A liaison with model Alexander Keen ended during the show. In 2017, Hnizdo made a guest appearance on the series jerks. where she played herself. She was also seen at the finals of Germany's Next Top Model 2017 and at Promi Shopping Queen .

At the beginning of 2018 , taff reported on her life as a model in New York in a weekly format from Lara Helmer, who placed sixth.
