Luisa Hartema (2012), winner of season 7

The seventh season of the German casting show Germany’s Next Topmodel was broadcast between February 23 and June 10, 2012 on the private broadcaster ProSieben . Luisa Hartema was chosen as the winner, Sarah-Anessa Hitzschke came in second ahead of Dominique Miller and Katarzyna "Kasia" Lenhardt.

Overview

The castings for the seventh season took place in July and August 2011 in 21 cities in 13 federal states. Compared to the previous year, Baden-Baden, Bochum, Kiel and Leipzig were added as casting cities. In Gelsenkirchen, Halle (and thus in the entire state of Saxony-Anhalt), Hof and Karlsruhe, the castings were canceled. Due to the supposedly high demand, two more open castings were scheduled, which took place on October 7, 2011 in Dortmund and two days later in Munich. A total of 15,711 interested people applied. On December 12, 2011, shooting began in Munich, for which 50 participants were selected. The 51st participant was a candidate who made it into the top 25 in the sixth season, but had to leave the show due to a serious illness. Heidi Klum then guaranteed her a place in the seventh season. The season was presented and promoted under the motto Gold for Germany , the title track was Turn Me On by David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj . As in the previous season, the jury around Heidi Klum was made up of Thomas Hayo and Thomas Rath . Jorge Gonzalez was again a catwalk trainer. The first episode aired on February 23, 2012. The 51 candidates first ran in front of the jury, 30 of them were selected for a fashion show in Munich with a collection by designer Guido Maria Kretschmer , then the field of candidates was reduced to 25. At Klum's request, scenes with him, including a singing appearance, were cut out of this episode, which was filmed before the separation from husband Seal.

The second episode was filmed in Thailand , three candidates were eliminated after a final catwalk. The set for the third episode and the final destination for four participants was Berlin Fashion Week . 18 applicants flew to Los Angeles at the beginning of the fourth episode . The innovations presented were a jury consultation and a “wall of fame” in the candidate's villa, on which a photo of the best candidate of the week was hung. In the last episode before the final, Heidi Klum announced that it would take four instead of three participants into the live final for the first time. The final took place again on June 7th in Cologne's Lanxess Arena. Gossip , Ivy Quainoo , Maroon 5 and Justin Bieber performed as live acts . The winner was Luisa Hartema . Like the previous winners, Hartema was featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine . In addition, she received a temporary apartment stay in a fashion metropolis of her choice as well as further campaigns with Emmi AG Caffè Latte, the cosmetics manufacturer Maybelline Jade and the online mail order company Zalando .

Sara Kulka got a supporting role in Polizeiruf 110 in 2012 : Catwalk to Death . She took part in the RTL reality shows Wild Girls - On High Heels Through Africa (2013) and I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here! (2015).
