The second season of the German casting show Germany’s Next Top Model was broadcast from March 1, 2007 to May 24, 2007 on the private broadcaster ProSieben . Barbara Meier was chosen as the winner, Anni Wendler was second ahead of Hana Nitsche .

ProSieben showed the second season from March 1, 2007. Instead of nine, this time twelve episodes were broadcast and the final on May 24, 2007. As in season 1, Heidi Klum , model agent Peyman Amin and Bruce Darnell were on the jury . The hairdresser and make-up artist Boris Entrup, who replaced Morbach, was new. The title track was Hit Me Up by Gia Farrell .

The show started with 100 candidates selected based on photos, videos and telephone calls from 16,421 applicants who had to complete a studio walk. 25 participants were allowed with a fashion show at halftime of a game of Borussia Dortmund continue, then left ten women, including the later ProSieben presenter Viviane Geppert from. Two of them were later nominated, however, after two finalists (Sophie and Alina) voluntarily dropped out before the second episode.

The winner Barbara Meier received a convertible and a contract with Face Your Brand! , in which it was agreed that she works for the modeling agency IMG Models , will be featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan and will be the face of the new C&A advertising campaign.

Janina Cüpper broke off her biology studies with an intermediate diploma and initially worked as a model and presenter. Meanwhile, Cüpper works in the administration of an agency. (As of May 2014)
