The third season of the German casting show Germany’s Next Topmodel was broadcast from February 28, 2008 to June 5, 2008 on the private broadcaster ProSieben . Jennifer Hof was chosen as the winner, Janina Delia Schmidt came in second ahead of Christina Leibold.

As in the first two seasons, Heidi Klum and Peyman Amin were on the jury. Bruce Darnell left the show and took on his own show on ARD . His successor was the casting director Rolf Scheider . In addition to the three jurors, there was another guest on the jury in each episode. Boris Entrup only had guest appearances for a make-up brand. The third season theme song was Amazing by Seal . The trailer music was Acceptable in the 80’s by Calvin Harris .

18,217 women and girls applied for the season. In the first broadcast, 30 out of 120 candidates were selected. At the end of the second broadcast there were 19 candidates. In the first part of the show, the jury said goodbye to five models, at the end of the episode another five and one applicant left the show for personal reasons. The candidate Anna Vanessa Hegelmaier paused in the ninth episode because of a concussion and decided in the tenth episode to voluntarily quit. In the finals on June 5, 2008, the jury selected Jennifer Hof as the winner. She received a contract with IMG Models , became the new face of the C&A collection and made the front page of the German Cosmopolitan . She received a VW Scirocco from the main sponsor Volkswagen . Her own perfume brand Jenny KL was produced at LR . In 2014, she announced that she had ended her career. The losing finalists received a VW CrossPolo .

Janina Delia Schmidt says she modeled intensively for four years and stated in 2014 that she had changed sides and had been working mainly as a booker since 2012 . Christina Leibold resumed her media management studies after the show and modeled on the side (as of 2009). Carolin Ruppert worked for some time as the TV presenter of her own program Look at the station Das Vierte , which was discontinued at the end of 2013 . The program was stopped due to a lack of ratings. Raquel Deborah Alvarez has signed contracts with Visage (Switzerland) and Elite-Models in São Paulo . In 2011 she had her first success as a designer in Brazil. In 2011 Sarah Knappik took part in the RTL show Ich bin ein Star - Get me out of here! part and 2013 in Wild Girls - On high heels through Africa . 2017 took Gina-Lisa Lohfink on I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! part, as did Gisele Oppermann in 2019 . Elena Rotter was Playmate of the Month in May 2013 in the German edition of Playboy .
