Rolf Scheider (born March 8, 1956 in Cologne ) is a German casting director and entertainer . He became known as a jury member of the third and fourth season of the casting show Germany’s Next Topmodel . By ProSieben presenter Stefan Raab , he was nicknamed "Rolfe".

Life

After leaving school, Scheider completed an apprenticeship as a wholesaler in the butter, egg and cheese sector. Then he learned the profession of cosmetician in Düsseldorf . In 1975 he moved to Paris , where he worked as a make-up artist and from 1978 to 1980 as a model . In the late 1980s he founded the modeling agency People International , which he sold in the 1990s. In 2010 he founded the casting office Casting Company Berlin . Between 1980 and 1990 Scheider owned two restaurants in Paris. In the 1990s he worked as a freelance journalist for the fashion magazine Madame .

Scheider became known as a jury member of the casting show Germany's Next Top Model , where he succeeded Bruce Darnell . When he left the show after two seasons, he publicly criticized the behavior of presenter Heidi Klum .

Further TV appearances followed: in 2009 in the Sat.1 format Yes, we can dance , in 2010 in the celebrity dance show Let's Dance on RTL or in 2011 in the Sat.1 format Der Bastelkönig . In 2013 he could be seen as a juror alongside Carmen Kreuzer in the Austrian casting show Austria's Next Topmodel moderated by Melanie Scheriau . Between January 16 and 30, 2015 he was a participant in I am a star - get me out of here! at RTL and took fourth place.
