Gia Farrell (born February 9, 1989 in Suffern , Rockland County , NY ; actually Jeannie Marie Bocchicchio ) is an American pop singer .
Career
Gia Farrell has Italian ancestry . Her debut single Hit Me Up , which was released by Warner Music in early February 2007 in most European markets, comes from the soundtrack to Happy Feet . It found its way into the charts of many European countries. Among other things, the song was used as the theme song for the second season of the TV casting format Germany's Next Topmodel . From 2005 to 2007 she was under contract with the Atlantic Records label . The New Gold Empire label has been releasing their songs since 2014.
