Thomas Hayo

Thomas Hayo (* 1969 in Neunkirchen , Saarland ) is a German creative director . He became known as a juror for the casting show Germany's Next Top Model .

Life

In his youth Hayo lived in Bexbach , where he was active in a football club and tennis club. He passed his Abitur in 1988 at the Johanneum in Homburg . He then studied visual communication (graphic design, film and photography) at the Darmstadt University of Design . After working for the advertising agency Springer & Jacoby in Hamburg, Hayo moved to New York City in 1993 , where he originally only wanted to stay for a year. There he did an internship with J. Walter Thompson .

In 1999 he moved to the Bartle Bogle Hegarty agency , where he was jointly responsible for setting up the New York office. He was primarily responsible for Levi's key account and also managed campaigns for clients such as Reebok , Sony-Ericsson , Ax , Dyson and Johnnie Walker .

His work has received multiple awards, including from the Art Directors Club , The One Show , D&AD , The International Andy Awards , the Clio Awards, and the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival , where it received several Gold, Silver and Bronze Lions. Works on some of his best campaigns are on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Hayo has been working as a freelancer since 2009 . Following a suggestion from Jean-Remy von Matt , Hayo was part of the jury of Germany's Next Topmodel from 2011 to 2018 alongside Heidi Klum .
