Specialist for system catering
Specialist for system catering (Germany) or system catering specialist (Austria) is an apprenticeship established in both countries since 1998 .
Fields of work are in companies that operate a standardized, centrally controlled catering concept with branches . The employers accordingly include fast food restaurants and chains such as B. McDonald’s , Burger King , Nordsee or Subway .
education
The training lasts three years in Germany and Austria and takes place in the dual training system at vocational schools and training companies. Trainees or apprentices finish their training with the final examination in Germany and the final apprenticeship examination in Austria. Related apprenticeships, such as catering specialist or cook, can be completed in Austria with a shorter apprenticeship period.
further education
System caterers can attend the master craftsman training courses as further training . Those who want to work independently can open or take over a catering business.
