Veria FC is a Greek football club from Veria . It was created in 1960 through the merger of two local teams, Hermes and Vermio. In the 2006/07 season Veria played in the Beta Ethniki and achieved promotion to the Greek Super League by reaching 3rd place . The club then rose to the third division .

In the 2010/11 season, however, the club managed to return directly to the second-rate Football League and a year later even made it back to the Super League . Veria is a typical elevator team that has acted first class for three seasons in a row since the 2012/13 season returned to the top class. Previously, this only succeeded between 1966 and 1969 and between 1996 and 1999. There were other appearances in the highest Greek league in 1970–1972, 1977/78, 1986–1988 and 2007/08. Veria FC's best placements were ninth in 1986/87 and 1997/98. With the renewed qualification for the first class, the club will appear in the top division for the first time four seasons in 2015/16.
