Veritas Investment (Veritas Investment GmbH) is a capital management company under German law based in Frankfurt am Main . The company manages 11 open-ended investment funds with systematic investment strategies, which are divided into a total of 23 unit classes . The unit classes include those for private customers as well as for institutional investors and asset managers. In mid-June 2018, the total assets under management of the open mutual funds amounted to approx. 580 million euros. Veritas Investment is a subsidiary of Veritas Portfolio GmbH & Co. KG. The total managed assets of the Veritas Group, together with the sister company Veritas Institutional GmbH, amount to approx. 7.6 billion euros.
Company history
In 1991 Veritas Investment was founded under the name VERITAS SGTR INVESTMENT TRUST GMBH as a capital management company. The first fund "Veri-Valeur" launched in the same year is still marketed today under the name Ve-RI Equities Europe (ISIN: DE0009763201) as a European equity fund. The then parent company SG Asset Management belonged to Société Générale .
In 2007, Veritas Investment launched the first ETF fund of funds in Germany and is still considered a pioneer of ETF funds of funds to this day.
In 2008 the company was taken over by Augur Capital and renamed VERITAS INVESTMENT TRUST GmbH
In 2012 the company was renamed Veritas Investment GmbH
In 2013, some funds were closed or merged as part of a restructuring. In addition, the strategy of many funds was adjusted and Risk @ Work risk management introduced.
Veritas Institutional
Veritas Institutional GmbH is a sister company of Veritas Investment GmbH based in Hamburg. Until April 2014 it was called Pall Mall Investment Management. She is responsible for sales and portfolio management for mandates and special funds for institutional clients, which are managed on the model of Veritas Investment Funds. Veritas Institutional also supports Veritas Investment's portfolio management in implementing the Risk @ Work strategy. Veritas Institutional GmbH manages over 7 billion euros in assets from institutional clients (as of end of December 2017).
