Annunciation of the Lord (Prilep)
The Church of the Annunciation of the Lord ( Macedonian Благовештение Богородично , Bulgarian Благовещение Богородично ) is an Orthodox church from the time of the Bulgarian Revival , in the city of Prilep (now North Macedonia ).
The church was built in 1838. It contains a large iconostasis by Dimtar Stanischew and Petar Filipow-Garkata , as well as icons by A. Zograf and A. Zugaro. In front of the church there is a Bulgarian war cemetery from the First and Second World Wars . The cemetery has not been maintained for decades and is visibly deteriorating.
