Injured assembly point

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A collection point for injured people serves as a collection point for injured people. However, it is not to be equated with a treatment center that has fixed structures. During the ICE accident in Eschede , the terms injured person collection point or first aid station were used for a treatment station. In the meantime, however, a distinction is made between these terms.

function

A collection point for injured persons is used when there is a disproportion between rescue equipment and injured persons , but no treatment center is necessary or injured persons must first be removed from a danger area.

Injured people are rescued by the fire brigade and taken to the injured person's collection point. There they are (first) treated and then taken to the hospitals for further treatment . Depending on how quickly the casualty collection point can be structured by competent managers, it can be more or less structured. With the spread of the treatment center concepts, a classification according to viewing categories has proven itself.

If an injured person's collection point is connected upstream of a treatment station, it is referred to as a patient rest.
