A mill diagram or a grinding diagram is a schematic representation of the processes in a mill . The relationships are usually so complex that the diagrams for cleaning and wetting as well as grinding are shown separately. The main systems for cleaning and grinding are visualized in the control of a mill, i.e. they can be displayed directly on the screen. This allows the conveyor routes to be set electronically, to call up silo levels and to switch machines and conveyor routes.

The mill diagram, the machines used in a mill such as indented cylinders , plansifter or roller mills is the order in which they are arranged and how the product flow between the individual machines in the various grinding steps ( Order , crushing , semolina cleaning , grinding a ) takes place and how the aspiration connected becomes. It also answers questions about a mill's performance.
