Vern Taylor
Vern Taylor is a former Canadian figure skater who started in a single run .
1978 and 1979 Taylor was Canadian runner-up behind Brian Pockar . He took part in the World Championships in 1978 and 1979 , where he was 12th and 15th respectively. He was remembered not because of his results, but because he was the first figure skater ever to stand a triple Axel in a competition at the 1978 World Cup , but he got deductions for his landing.
