Werner von Blumenthal-Suckow

Werner Graf von Blumenthal-Suckow (* March 6, 1815 in Varzin , † March 9, 1883 in Wiesbaden ) was the owner of the manor and member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation .

origin

His parents were Fideikommissherr Werner Graf von Blumenthal (1773-1844) and his wife Auguste, née Countess von Podewils (1778-1859).

Life

Werner von Blumenthal-Suckow attended the Knight Academy in Brandenburg an der Havel and served in the Prussian Army from 1835 to 1840 . Afterwards he was district deputy and manor owner on Jannewitz , Suckow , Lantow , Groß- and Klein- Quesdow and Kerzendorf . He sold his property to a Prince of Hohenzollern in 1874.

From 1856 to 1858 and from 1863 to 1867 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1867 to 1870 he was a member of the constituent and ordinary Reichstag of the North German Confederation and of the customs parliament for the constituency Köslin 2 ( Bütow , Rummelsburg , Schlawe ) and the Conservative Party .

family

Blumenthal married Mathilde Freiin von Buddenbrock (1819-1848) on November 4, 1840, and after her death on April 24, 1852 Else von Zastrow (* 1828) from the Schönberg family. The following children emerged from the marriages:
