The law on pension equalization is a German law . It came into force on September 1, 2009 through the law on the structural reform of the pension adjustment and was last amended on December 8, 2010.

It regulates the pension equalization after the divorce, for example through half-division or another equalization.

According to § 1, entitlements within the meaning of this law are "in Germany or abroad existing entitlements to pensions and entitlements to ongoing pensions, in particular from statutory pension insurance , from other regular security systems such as civil servant pensions or professional pensions, from company pensions or from private Old age and disability insurance.
