In computing, distributed cache is an extension of the traditional concept of a cache that is normally used in a single locale . A distributed cache can span multiple servers to grow in size and transaction capacity. Distributed cache is mainly used to store application data from databases and web session data. The idea of ​​distributed caching became feasible since RAM became cheaper and network cards much faster - 1 Gbit is standard in many places and 10 Gbit is already on the advance.
