Administrative Law (Austria)

Administrative law contains all regulations that affect the state function of administration .

Classification

Traditionally, administrative law is divided into 3 groups: general administrative law, administrative procedural law, and special administrative law.

General administrative law

General administrative law largely deals with organizational law and the general administrative powers. There is a large overlap with constitutional law.

Administrative procedural law

Administrative procedural law regulates the procedure between citizens and authorities. This includes:

  • the general administrative procedure
  • administrative criminal law and administrative criminal proceedings
  • the administrative enforcement

Special administrative law

The special administrative law includes the individual administrative matters , such as trade law , building law , security police law, procurement law, etc.
