Consumption receipt
A consumption voucher is a voucher that can be redeemed in a catering establishment for a certain dish or a certain amount of a drink. Consumption coupons are often used at major events such as street parties and in beer tents to simplify the organizational process.
advantages
The use of consumption tokens allows the operating staff to easily settle accounts with the guest, since when paying for the order (which is usually required at the mentioned events at the latest at the time of serving) no cash has to be carried and the time-consuming counting of change when Customers can be dispensed with. In addition, there is usually no central cash register system in beer tents, so that every waiter has to pay for the food and drinks served directly at the counter. Here, too, the use of consumption receipts simplifies billing, since the waiter at the counter - also without cash - only has to pay an amount of consumption receipts corresponding to the size of his order. In order to enable a cash settlement with the guest, the waiter purchases a certain number of consumption receipts in advance from the host and then settles the guest with cash.
In particular, at events where guests have to get their drinks themselves at a counter or a sales stand, beverage brands can be used to spatially separate the dispensing points and the cash register. The guest first purchases one or more drinks tokens at the cash register, then goes to the bar and redeems them there for the desired drink. In addition to reducing the chances of bill cheating, this approach has the advantage that the bar is not affected by the hygienic problems associated with cash.
Another way of using consumption vouchers is to collect a minimum consumption. So it is e.g. B. In festival tents it is quite common for holders of a reservation that a minimum consumption is charged when booking the reservation. The use of consumption receipts, which are billed and sent to the guest before his visit, ensures in a simple manner that the guest generates at least the turnover required for his reservation.
Appearance
The simplest type of consumption voucher is available as a roll in various colors in specialist shops. Individual brands can be separated from this by a perforation . However, due to the simple way of purchasing these rolls and the lack of security labels, these beverage brands are easy to forge. To get around this, these i. d. Usually printed on the back with the organizer's stamp.
Alternatively, beverage and other consumption brands are often produced as plastic chips . Here, the landlord has a lot more design leeway than with the simple tear-off beverage brands, which significantly increases protection against forgery. In addition, such beverage brands can be used several times.
Consumption receipts made of paper - often with special security features - are also used. These tokens combine a relatively low production price with a relative security against forgery and the possibility to purchase e.g. B. to limit the validity to a specific date or a specific event. In contrast to the food receipts made as plastic chips, they are usually not reusable.
