Veterans memorial (Bavaria)

The veteran memorial was donated on June 30, 1848 by King Maximilian II Joseph of Bavaria for soldiers of the Bavarian army who took part in the campaigns between 1790 and 1813.

On the arms of the cross from top to bottom the inscription MAX II KÖNIG VON BAYERN . On the reverse THE VETERANS OF THE BAYER ARMY. In the middle of the medallion, the Bavarian rolls are surrounded by an oak wreath . In the back on the lozenge ground a crowned lion with sword and scepter walking to the left . The whole is surrounded by an oak wreath.

The award was worn on a light blue ribbon with crimson side stripes on the left chest.
