Vette! is a 1989 computer racing game by Spectrum HoloByte that is about driving a car through the recreated city of San Francisco . You can play in single-player mode as well as in two-player mode via null modem cable. The game was released for MS-DOS , Apple Macintosh and the NEC PC-9801. Vette! requires version 3 or higher in the MS-DOS version, as well as a CGA or EGA graphics card .

Then you choose one of four routes that run through the whole city; however, the routes themselves are only roughly given. Once this is done, the actual game starts by driving against your chosen opponent in single-player mode or against the other player in two-player mode. It can be driven all over the city, because the main thing is to get to your destination. Accidents can be caused while driving through San Francisco, e.g. B. goes into the water.

criticism

The game got an average rating. The computer magazine Power Play gave October 1989 63 out of 100 points. While the graphics were still rated with 73 points, the game only got 23 points for the sound. In addition, it was rated as easy by the difficulty .
