Vicente Barbieri
Vicente Barbieri (born August 31, 1903 in Alberti , Gran Buenos Aires , † September 10, 1956 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine journalist and writer.
Barbieri came from a humble background. At an early age he earned his living as a farm laborer. Later he was trained as a typesetter in a printing company and through these contacts he became a journalist for various smaller regional newspapers.
In 1955, Barbieri was appointed President of the Sociedad Argentina de Escritores (SADE), the Argentine writers' association.
Ten days after his 53rd birthday, Barbieri died of tuberculosis in Buenos Aires on September 10, 1956 and found his final resting place in the Alberti Municipal Cemetery.
