Sociedad Argentina de Escritores

The Sociedad Argentina de Escritores (SADE, SADE; German  Argentine Writers 'Society ) is an Argentine writers' association founded in 1928 with headquarters in Buenos Aires . It is divided into over 50 sections nationwide.

history

Founding members were u. a. the writers Leopoldo Lugones , Horacio Quiroga , Jorge Luis Borges , Baldomero Fernández Moreno and Ricardo Rojas and other authors who met on the occasion of the Primera Feria Nacional del Libro (First National Book Fair) on November 8, 1928 to found the association and adopted a statute. The company played a key role in the foundation Das Buch - Fundación El Libro and the Buenos Aires International Book Fair , the Feria Internacional del Libro de Buenos Aires . She runs the Museo del Escritor in Buenos Aires.

Literature Prize

Since 1944, SADE has given members of society the Gran Premio de Honor de la Sociedad Argentina de Escritores , the highest literary award in the country , which honors all literary work.
