Victor Navone (born February 2, 1970 in San Diego , California , USA ) is an American character animator at Pixar .

After graduating from high school in 1988, he graduated from the University of California with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art . He then spent a year in France traveling and teaching art before returning to San Diego in 1993.

For a year he kept himself afloat with smaller jobs until he was hired by the computer game manufacturer Presto Studios .

He caused a stir around the world when he created the popular "Alien Song" video - an animated parody of Gloria Gaynor's number one hit, I Will Survive . The original intention of Victor with this film was to improve his character animation skills, but the film met with great enthusiasm from the internet community, which resulted in it being widely distributed via email.

In fact, one day in December 1999, the film landed with the Pixar president, who then campaigned for Navone to be employed by Pixar.

He has since worked on such films as Monster AG , Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles .
